Nestled on five peaceful acres in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, Stone Lake Retreat has been welcoming guests to the Pocono Mountains for years. When we first discovered this property—with its charming farmhouse, private two-acre lake, and that iconic red boat dock—we knew it was something special.
After a brief hiatus, we're excited to reopen the inn and share this slice of Pocono paradise with travelers seeking something beyond the ordinary. Whether you're here for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, Stone Lake Retreat offers a genuine escape from everyday life.

Each of our five guest rooms has been thoughtfully appointed with its own character—from the serene Emerald Room to the whimsical Aviator Room. We've preserved the property's rustic charm while ensuring modern comforts for today's travelers.

We don't currently offer breakfast service, but you have full access to our kitchen to prepare your own meals. There are also several great breakfast spots nearby in Saylorsburg and Stroudsburg. Check our Things To Do page for dining recommendations.
Yes! For family reunions, friend getaways, or small group retreats, you can book all five rooms and have the entire property to yourselves. Contact us directly to discuss whole-house bookings.
Yes, our private two-acre lake is perfect for swimming. It's a natural lake with a gentle slope, making it great for all ages. As always, swim at your own risk and supervise children at all times.
Saylorsburg is just a few minutes away with basic amenities. Stroudsburg, a charming downtown with restaurants, shops, and services, is about 15 minutes. The Crossings Premium Outlets are also nearby for shopping.
Pegasus Airpark is a small private airport that's home to Pegasus Skydive Center. You'll see small planes and skydivers throughout the day (weather permitting). It's more charming than disruptive—many guests love watching from the porch! If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk across the street and book a tandem jump.

Each season offers something special! Fall brings stunning foliage, winter offers skiing and cozy fireplace evenings, spring is perfect for rafting and hiking, and summer is ideal for lake activities. The Poconos are truly a year-round destination.
